Not Just another NibbleBit Blog
Seemed appropriate to do a bookend posting to start the blog over again after a long trip. Thanks to everyone for waiting for me to get back, and then to get over a bit of post-journey flu.
Here’s some more images from Outsports.com’s Janet Evans Meets galleries, featuring photos by Brent Mullins.
Update (4-10-08): I noticed tonight as I ws about to make another posting that one of the photos (#6) in my last post was not a ‘jammer’ image (he was wearing board shorts; they were just so dark it was hard to tell). I’ve made a modified version of that image, just for fun, and even a wallpaper of it, and substituted those for the originally posted image. No board shorts in this blog!
Am going to be on the road for the next few days, but before I head out, thought I would whet your palettes with a few more favorite pix from Outsports.com’s Janet Evans Meets galleries, featuring photos by Brent Mullins.
The previous Janet Evans meets sets are here and here. Be back soon.
It’s a little bit funny how sets sometimes come together for me.
Some of the photos in this set have appeared frequently around the speedo blog world over the past couple of years, and I naturally tucked them into my favorites folders.
Until I started sorting my Outsports.com photos recently, I’d never noticed how many of Brent Mullins’ photos from the Janet Evans meets were of this same swimmer.
So, here they all are together, at last.
The previous Janet Evans meets set is here.
A quote from the Outsports 2005 Janet Evans Invitational photo galleries: “The Janet Evans Invitational is one of the largest U.S. swim meets in the nation and is part of the U.S. Grand Prix series. It [the 2005 meet] was held this summer on the campus of the University of Southern California.”
These images (and a few in the previous Training Suits post) were taken by photographer Brent Mullins at the 2005 (USC) and the 2004 (Long Beach) Janet Evans Invitationals. Brent Mullins’ photos from these events comprise a rich vein of aesthetic pleasure. Enjoy.
It should be noted that many of the images posted in various speedo sites — including this one — have come from the Outsports galleries. It seemed appropriate to post images from their website in context and with credit. Wet Speedos will continue to do this when and where possible.
