I’ve Been Saving This — Post 200

A long time ago, I stumbled on a few of these photos when I was looking for some classic Aussie lifesaver and surf carnival images.

I didn’t know at the time they were photographed by Aussie beach photo maven William (Note: I’ve posted 11 entries on this blog so far featuring Williams’ images), or even who he was.

Eventually I found more of them at Dave Evans’ Swimmerboyz.com website, and I found out from Dave that this guy was named Matt. At least that’s my recollection; I can’t find his email unfortunately. (If anyone — or Dave — has a correction to make to this notion, please make a comment or send me an email. Thanks.)

And then I found more of these images on various speedo and Aussie blogs, and on Flickr, and well, everywhere.

Ever since, I’ve been collecting images for this set. I’ve been saving it for an important occasion. I guess Post #200 could provide one such moment.

So here’s to William, and Dave Evans. And to Matt, wherever you are.
