What used to be a trickle is slowly swelling into a flood of competition swimmer photos, on all sorts of blogs. Hardly a day goes by anymore that I don’t find 20 new photos I’ve never seen before. Cataloguing and sorting them has become a project.
Here are some recent serendipitous Speedo samples.

I’ve posted a lot about Mitcham here, and I’ve been afraid of looking like “all Matthew, all the time” (anyone for an all Matthew-all-the-time blog, lemme know…) So, anyway, I chilled it for awhile. But, this month once again his publicity machine is cranking, and these galleries are too good to neglect. These are all from The Advocate’s February cover story on Mitcham.

This morning, Tottyland has a small post on 24-year-old (as of yesterday 03-03-09) Welsh-born British Olympic swimmer David Davies (the first five shots). I’ve added a few more at the bottom.

Aussie Speedo Guy Dave Evans posted these fantastic photos of several “US lifeguards” in speedos on February 22, and I just had to repost them here.
US lifeguards don’t wear speedos as a rule (I’ve never seen a trio like this except at gay resorts), so this is a moment to celebrate, if true.*

*A reader has pointed out that in the last photo, there is a license plate on the rear of the lifeguard truck that says “CA Exempt.” His opinion was that the location is Santa Monica. The hill behind could easily be on the north end of Will Rogers State Beach, so perhaps! Thanks to this reader.
